As
I was sitting in my bed last night watching the 20016 elections, I was thinking
“Is this really happening?? Is this Man really winning the United States
Presidency? “WOW” It hit me! I realized
that we’re still living in a “White’s man” world. Yes! Plenty of Minorities
voted for Trump but there was also plenty of minorities who never voted before
that voted for Hillary, those minorities still didn’t make that much of a
difference. The true is! “The secret voices” the voices that never
spoke up, finally did and they made the final difference. It’s scary to think that those “secret
voices” think so highly of someone like him.
These “Secret Voices” trust someone who doesn’t have any respect for
other religions, nationalities, backgrounds, women, countries, ethnicity and beliefs. I’m disgusted by everything that Trump
represents; I’m disgusted that people voted for someone who is trying to divide
us and use his money to sabotage the integrity and freedom of this country. Maybe we need to go through someone like him
to appreciate what’s to come? Or who we could have voted for? Or maybe, just maybe he will be just as great
as Reagan or Carter, why not? “I really doubt it” I can only hope that
American’s don’t regret the choice we made, I say “WE” because I also
underestimate him. I also laughed when
he launched his campaigned, I never thought he would make it this far…but he
did. When the elections began I was open
to hear everyone, Republicans, Democrats, libertarian’s even Donald Trump
eccentricities.
I
assisted Donald trump’s rally in Dallas Texas back in Sept 2015. I was disgusted!! His speech was “stupid” and
full of insults to the Mexicans and immigrants.
He only spoke about himself and how he would make “America better”. I
have never met anyone so Egocentric.
There was only a few Hispanics in this Rally and I felt as I was
betraying my own, I wanted to hide my face.
I was embarrassed! I wasted my time going to see someone so vain and
full of hatred. I even felt the ugly vibe
in this place! I felt a “special kind of way”.
At that time, I was searching for answers and I wanted to hear what he
had to say, I wanted to give him a chance.
That chanced was ruined as soon as he opened his mouth with this words “All
the immigrants in this country, are here because their own countries don’t want
them” “We are the dumping ground of the world” REALLY!!! Who would say that? I
was more concerned with the crowd; everyone seemed happy to be there. This was at the American Airlines Center, it
was packed!! So it doesn’t surprise me that he tripled his followers by
election time.
Since
I wasted my time with Trump earlier in 2015, I decided to go see Hillary
Clinton at a Rally in Dallas TX, at Mountain View College in November of 2015. It was definitely a smaller Rally but it was a
lot better. Hillary Clinton was nicer and very approachable to everyone, no
matter what they looked like or their nationality. I even took a selfie with her. This woman speech was impeccable and straight
to the point. She always said “WE” not “I”.
She didn’t put anyone down or made fun of others. The diversity of this rally reminded me of
the people that represent America.
I’m
sure Hillary Clinton didn’t realize her night was going to end up with Trump’s
winning the Presidency. She probably
couldn’t believe that “American’s” could have chosen someone as arrogant and
ignorant as Donald Trump. I couldn’t
believe it! But I accept it. I accept it
because that what Democracy It’s all about and because the “secret voices” got
to speak up to let us know that they think just like Trump and that “WE” as
minorities can’t trust what “They” “Him” choose to decide for US. So! Let’s stay together and let’s fight for
our rights when we need to. Let’s not
stay quiet and don’t let them divide us.
“Dreamers” keep fighting for your rights to remain in this country and
to study. “Immigrants” keep working hard
to support your families and one day become legal. “WOMEN” let’s keep fighting for our rights,
let’s keep forecasting the future to have women president, let’s keep fighting
for our rights to decide what to do with our bodies and beliefs, let’s keep
fighting for better salaries, let’s keep fighting for everyone to hear us.
I don’t know if Trump will be a
good or a terrible president! I just hope he wants the best for this country
and for all the people that make America great.
I am not a writer! This is just
my thoughts crumbled together. This is
my voice.
